I am pleased to offer Southwest Washington and Portland, Oregon holistic medical services. (People from out of the area can be accommodated as well). My training and experience allow me to practice a unique blend of conventional and alternative health care, letting me draw upon ‘the best of both worlds’ to find solutions to your medical problems.
I have over 25 years experience as a medical doctor, board certified in Internal Medicine and Pain Medicine, with modern diagnostic skills and treatment options at my disposal. While grateful for this wealth of knowledge and experience, over the years I have become aware of the limitations of conventional medicine.
My additional training in Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine allows me to blend a wide variety of treatment options, specifically tailored to your individual situation. This has provided hope for patients who have failed to be helped by conventional approaches.
Getting to know my patients well from the beginning is critical to our successful therapeutic relationship. I therefore spend 2 hours face-to-face with each new patient at your initial consultation. And, I spend a minimum of 30 minutes with you at each follow-up visit.
I believe that health care is a partnership. That is why at Rising Health you will receive educational materials, classes, and connections to important resources, to empower you to make the most informed health care decisions. You will also be provided with copies of your actual lab work and imaging reports, rather than just a note that says ‘everything’s fine.’ That way, together, we can design a program aimed at fostering your healing as gently and effectively as possible.
